ya no ****. it didnt even run for more than 20 mins with the bad pump so hopefully not. it had intermitant pressure anyway so its not like i starved the bearings and lifters for oil, jus keep my fingers crossed i guess

ok so i fixed the oil pressure, engine running great. but the vibe is still there. it happens around 2500 RPM and feels like its coming from the torque convertor. is the convertor balanced in some way? and would a harmonic balancer cause this?

Default Oil Pump

Back in my days of building fire breathing V8's I found that high volume oil pumps will pump the oil out of a stock crankcase faster than it can flow back to the pan. Thats why you find larger oil pans, baffles and windage trays on race cars. Oil pumps don't pump air or foam to well. Ditch the high volume or go to a custom oil pan that will hold a lot more oil. No pressure means no oil, not good. If you really need high volume go to a dry sump system.

ya i went to a stock pump and the pressure is good now, i think that was my issue. i still have a weird vibration goin tho. im going to put a new harmonic balancer on tomarrow and see if that fixs the problem..

Are you priming those new oil pumps before running motor? I wouldn't put a high flow in, if the clearances are correct you don't need it.

Default Re vibration

I know this may sound crazy but its just something you might want to check....My motor made a crazy feeling vibration at 2000 rpm in overdrive only....it also felt like a drive line vibration to a couple of people who I rode around with........I posted it on here and got every thing from engine might be toast to u joints in the drive shaft as advice as to what it might be....I did some more driving and tinkering and found out it was a couple bad fuel injectors and bad plugs making it run like crap and miss causing it to stumble and vibrate at 2000 rpms ......I replace the injectors with ford #19 and new plugs now it runs better than new...... Im not saying its your injectors but you might want to check there resistance and there connections just to be sure and have a look at your plugs......Also it sounds like you got a stock oil pump so thats fixed but I have also had bad luck with a High volume oil pump not in a jeep but in a race car I used to have .....Any way im getting off topic.....It might be something simple you over looked just think out side the box and you might find a simple fix (I HOPE YOU DO) or your new engine is for lack of a better term could be Toast

well the engine is running solid so i hope its not toast. and the plugs are new but im running my old injectors so im going to swap em for some ford #19 and see if it helps. and it doesnt miss in the upper RPMs jus vibrates, like the torque converter or driveline is vibin. also vibes bad in reverse.

Sound like you might be on the right track with the torque converter... ........ I know you said you put new mounts in did you re check them to make sure they are tight

I have the same problem, when I rev it up to 2500 to 3000 it has a GRRRRRRR type vibration right around to converter. Did that torque converter fix the problem?
