Engine Upgrades?

Hello, what are some engine upgrades i could to my XJ to get more power? it is a 84, 2.5 L Carburated. It has a 4 speed. it is low miles, and still has pleanty left in it.

What kind of carb upgrades could i do? Thanks

1984 you might PM TrueBlueXJ he has a 4 banger but his has FI not a carb. He may have some insights that we 4.0L owners do not have. Just a thought. I sent you a website link for carb adapters which might limit the choices you have for a new carb.

Engine: 4.0, 4.6, and wore-out 4.0

Find a donor for the TBI system, and go from there. Hey, wait a minute... I have the entire set-up from my 1986 Commanche 4 popper. Interested? And I mean the WHOLE set-up ( motor, harness, comp, fuel lines, 4-spd, and X-case).
