I am looking into buying a used engine out of a 98 grand cherokee and swapping it into a 94 cherokee sport. I am wondering what differences I am going to find between the two engines and how easy the swap is before I go ahead and buy the motor.

 

Should go right in without problems. You'll need to put all your accessories onto the front of it. You may have to swap the manifolds out.
