Default Engine Swap?

Just really for curiosity, has anybody ever heard or is it even possible to swap a 01-04 4.7L (i think) V8 Grand Cherokee motor int a 00-01 XJ. My girls parents have an 04 V8 (w/ 250k) and its seems to still have gobs of power compared to my 4.0L (w/ 190k). I am very pleased with the performance of my 4.0L but if i ever make mine a trail rig only i thought it might be helpfull to have the extra power. what do you guys think?

Anything can be done if your wallet is fat enough.

never seen it tried, but always wanted too. i'd be pretty impressed with someone who pulled it off. Be prepared for an electronic challenge, but I've heard the best way to do a modern engine swap would be to run both PCMs to keep them happy
