Hi I plan to swap my 1995 v6 engine. Do I have to use an engine from the same year? And if you the any pointers or words of advice it would be much appreciated.

Step 1: Drive off a cliff.

Step 2: Realize that you don't have a v6

Step 3: No. Just...no.

 

If your gonna swap the v6 ATLEAST make sure you put a 6 inch body lift on there!

 

No it does not have to be the same year, it has to be 95 or older as long as it's the HO engine. But seriously if you don't know that Cherokees are an I6 and not a V6 then you probably shouldn't be touching the engine. I don't mean to be rude by saying that but it is the truth.
