Default Engine runs strange in this heat. Please help.

My 95 has a rebuilt motor that I did myself last year and I haven't had any problems until now. Yesterday I drove the jeep for the first time in about two months,I filled it up with new gas drove about 50 miles and after I got back home I let it sit for about 10 minutes then I went to start it and the engine was stumbling very badly,it's almost like it had several cylinders misfiring. The check engine light is not on and I need some kind of ideas here.

Don't know for sure. Check the fuel tank cap?? It may not be venting properly?

Whenever I get gas if you turn the gas cap till it stops you will smell gas while driving. I always have to turn it a little farther when it stops and clicks.

the fuel in injector 3 is vaporizing. the way to stop that is fiberglassing the injector 3.

Do you have a carburetor or fuel injected ? Lucas Oil fuel and injector cleaner may help. Could be an easy fix !.

I think you just had heat soak into the injectors or if you did have some gas in the tank ,and you didnt treat the gas it just went bad and once the bad gas is gone it will start to run fine, did it have a bit of gas in it or was it completly empty?

well i like i said since the engine is hot it just vaporizes the fuel in the injector 3. fuel enters the injector but doesnt enter the cylinder. my father is a mechanic and his 1 friend who is also a mechanic has worked on a few cherokees with this problem and he really didnt say why it was only injector 3 but he fiberglassed and problem solved.

the cherokees he worked on were from the 90's. it only happens when you drive it and then let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes. that when it misfires.
