Default Engine running rough/missfiring after 4wheeling

After wheelin my rig quite a few times so far this year, I have noticed that almost every single time without fail, when I shut off my engine and restart it, it runs extremely rough, often so bad it nearly stalled (and has a few times) but then returns to running normally and very strong. I'm completely stumped as to what might be causing this. When I start it up it sputters so badly it's like it's not getting gas/air/spark to half the motor but after a minute or so it's right back to normal.

Has anyone else had this issue, or any possibilities for advice as to what it might be?

Sounds like (CPS) could be about ready to take a dump. That controls spark timing and fuel injector fire pulse timing.

Just had a nother thought. If it is only after 4wheeling and then it straightens out afterward. You may be gettng water in your distributor or coil.
