what is a good website that has rebuild kits for a 99 xj 4.0L? something doesnt feel right, felt like i have lost some power and it might be time to freshin up the engine. it has about 118700 miles on it.

 

Well in all reality it might be cheaper to just buy a rebuilt motor when you figure in the cost of a complete rebuilt with parts, machine work and time to build..THis also might be a good time to consider a stroker..I know Frankz has quite a bit of experience with engine rebuilds so hopefully he will chime in with some info and options for you.

 

Seems kind of low mileage for needing a rebuild. Just gettin' broke in at 120,000 miles usually.

 

do a leak down test...you may find you will need a valve job.
