Engine dies after a hard workout.
I've tried searching the forum, didn't really find anything (Maybe I'm just horrible at searching) about this, anyways-
It doesn't happen often, but sometimes when it's hot out and I give my engine a good workout, the engine will randomly just shut off, all electronics will work, the engine won't seem to have anything wrong beforehand, it'll just stop running. This only happens when the engine gets hot, maybe around 230, and only when it's been worked, like stop and go driving. I don't get any codes from it, and it starts just fine after letting it cool for about 20 minutes, maybe with a slight struggle to start. Any ideas here?
Sorry if my writing is a little sloppy here, but it's late, I'm tired, and I've been searching for about an hour now.

I'm guessing your rings are burnt pretty bad with your engine heating up that much. Its getting hot and losing all the compression. That my .02 which might be completely wrong but good luck to you.

Could be fuel delivery issue. When things get too hot and heat soak sets in, which is a notorious issue on (some) jeeps, it will usually cause a rough idle, loss of power and possibly a stall. Question is, why are you running so hot? Granted, those 4.0's get toasty, but what condition is your coolant system in? This might not be limited to one problem/solution. Has it been flushed? Thermo good? Wrap the injectors in heat resistant tape, get a separate tranny cooler, hood vents? Idk..
