You mention that now the oil pressure needle fluctuates when at stop lights so I assume you've addressed the filter issue, filled it with oil, and are now driving it? Besides the wobbly needle are there any other issues? I really want to know what the BOOM with five exclamation points was.


I would assume that by "BOOM!!!!!" he means that when the oil pressure built up, it started spraying oil out from in between the two gaskets like a fire sprinkler...but that's just me.

I tend to assume the same but have to admit, it would be funny if it was the piano. I suggest repeating the oil/filter change, this time making sure there's only one seal on the filter seat, and I bet everything will be fine. It might smell for a while until all that oil burns off, though.
