Engine Code Checking

Anyone know how to extract the engine codes from a 2000 XJ 4.0?? I tried the Key on,off,on,off,on thing and got nothing.

Yup I use my obd 2 scanner, can you go to autozoned or advanced auto farts to have them read the codes for you?

yeah only way i know is to use a scanner to read or remove codes on an XJ.
