Default JK shocks, Rubi or not?

Okay, my stock springs are officially dead from the 3 inch lift and after looking over my options the JK shocks seem to be the way to go. Cheap, available, cheap, suppossed to actually ride really well, and oh did i mention that they're cheap? The only complication that i've run into in making my decision is whether to run the JK rubicon shocks or the normal shocks(X, whatever the other is) I've heard the Rubicon shocks ride well but havent really heard much about the normal shocks.....could they possibly ride better? I'm almost tempted to just get the Rubicon shocks because they match the red/black layout of my jeep

Any input is appreciated, and no i dont plan on running BPE's. I'll just coat my wrench in hopes and dreams and pray the rear bolts dont break

The red ones I believe are better, but the black ones work. Otherwise, ZJ V8 Upcountry shocks work good. I got the Gabriel Ultras from Vatozone and work great and only 30$ each. Otherwise some Bilstein 5100+ are your best bet.

I have the red rubi's in mine. Rides good, a little stiff but not like a junk RC shock or procomp. My son has the black standard JK shocks in his, and it rides really really good.

RE shocks are junk.

Bilstein, Monroe, Rustys, BDS, have good shocks.
