engine bucks out of nowhere
I have a 95 xj sport , sometimes while im driving or even idleing, my engine loses power almost like it isnt taking the gas for a few seconds.. Then all of the sudden, the power kicks back in and off i go, any ideas?

Yes, could be a lot of things. If what you did doesn't hold, and if you have an IAC you should check it and clean it, along with the throttle body. I had the same symptoms and this one did it for me.

The Peep's been hickupped and stumbled for couple years. Was goin from bad to worse. I was lookin for all sorts of causes, cps, tps sensors, fouled throttle body, wires, plugs, rotor cap, coil, trans loosing lockup, all sorts of questions, no definative answer. too costly to just start throwin parts.
Then I cleaned my ground connections, battery, engine, firewall. Since i had a dual post (top and side) battery, I added additonal ground from bat fender and another ground line to engine. The Peep is now smooth as a baby's back. No stumble, no hesitation, solid idle, solid voltmeter, 2000 km and not a mis or hickup.
For no cost other than the time clean your ground connections! Clean the +ve too. For a few bucks run another auxilliary ground wire.

The braid is tinned copper, got it at the Cdn Tire Auto Hardware store. Bolt on the fender is stainless, and the extra standard wire goes to bolt frontal on the block, just to be sure. Also disassembled, cleaned up and secured all the original ground contacts.

Alright, couldnt find a braided wire at any parts store close to my house so im just substituting with 10 gauge wire, 1/4 inch ring connector, and stainless self tapping screw, getting ready to throw it on, clean my connections and see how it does

That will work. Even cleaning up the existing grounds and insuring the positive post is clean and tight is a good maintenance practice.
