Engine Block ID
Anyone know where to find it, and how to tie it to VIN? My jeep has 260,000 miles, but place I bought it from said engine was replaced. I have reason to believe that as it has perfect compression and the pistons look all shiny and new, doesn't burn any oil, ect... I know it is a H.O motor, probably a shortblock or shortblock with head that was replaced and manifolds and accessories probably reused. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

I cant think of it off the top of my head but yor block has a casting number. Your head will also have one. there are different heads out there. you should haave a 7120 head being a 1993. When I rebuilt mine I reused my manifolds and accessories .
