Emergency brake fix
I drive a 93 Cherokee, this morning I found the plastic button that depresses in order to active or deactivate the emergency brake had fallen off. I park on a slope so whenever I park i make it a point to put the brake on. When I saw the button had come off, I tried pressing the exposed screw in order to turn off the brake, the screw just stayed down. Anyone know how to fix this?

you need to push it farther down and then once you unlock the brake, take the center console apart so you can work on the e-brake itself. its just a pawl ratcheting system and very easy to work on
