Hello,

I have a 1987 Jeep Wagoneer, 4.0L Renix, aut. Basically stock. Tranny was completely rebuilt, and engine was "refreshed", as with the cooling system.

Now my problem is that whenever it feels like, the waggie turns on, sputters a little and then shuts off. If it feels like, it turns on again or does whatever it wants.

I clean the electrical connectors to the ignition, and last thing I did today was that I cleaned the relays and connectors with the proper solvent, but now I notice that I'm not getting any spark from the coil. Oh', by the way I also check the fuses and found a few burned or over the recomended amp, so I tried putting them the correct amp fuse.

Can somebody help me as to what can I check to diagnose before I start replacing?

Check your CPS.

 

This are the connectors and relays that I cleaned.

 

Does your FP run when you switch to ignition on? and what's that orange taped wire?

 

The fuel pump was running before, but I'll check the CPS today and will post the results

The orange taped wire? That's the signal wire for an external A/C Relay

 

I'm stock, the mechanic wasnt available, and the weather is not helping me agggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Also, can anybody tell me what is each relay for, think second from top activates the ign coil, but no clue about the others
