electrical problem

Default electrical problem

I have a 1999 cherokee sport with electrical problems i will be driving down the road and it will shut off this time i waited about 15 min and it restarted this same thing happened the other day replaced one of the relay under the hood and it started right up I have replaced the brain in it oem control modual was wondering if the oem modual has to be grounded to firewall becouse the screws dont tighten back down

Could be the ignition coil getting hot and cutting out. It shuts down, cools and you can fire it back up again. Does the issue correspond to the ambient temperature at all?

It does not seem to mater it did it in florida and now it did it in nebraska I also was leaningg towards the coil I realy cant complain about my jeep other than replacing the brain this is the only other problem ive had going to order the coil and see what happens I thank you for your imput

Default still problems

Im still having problems with my jeep cherokee its a 1999 when i go to start it the battery is completly charged try to crank it over and instantly drains battery seems to be turning over hard someone said timiming control sensor cant find no info on it any suggestions

It can be you CPS is going bad or the ign coil. When my CPS went out the coil also went at the same time.

If its fully charged and instantly drains then its a battery that doesnt hold a charge. Get it tested.


Otherwise your poorly explaining the issue.
