Also, i forgot to add, that a new light has come on that says gen and there is no explanation for it in the manual, so i used yahoo! answers and this is what i got

Ok thanks, and did you take a look at that thing about the GEN light from the link i posted?

what can i do about all of this?

you no where the fuse box is right. Look above it see if its wet above the fuse box in side the xj by left drivers foot. running on to fuse box causing electrical probs. THen look uned xj on side of trans for the slave cyl it pushes the clutch in and out see if it or the line is wet .

Ok, the jeep is at my moms and im going there at 7:30 tomorrow... ill take a look at it and reply to you about it... will you be able to reply to me tomorrow?

and so the fuse box is inside the driver side by the pedals under the steering wheel and the slave cylinder is on the outside of the tranny?
and so my clutch fluid is empty is it fine if i put some fluid in it to get an acurate read of whats going on?
or will it be a bad idea?
