Default Electrical Issues (Windows/Locks/Stereo)

96 XJ:

Long long story, but I'll try to describe the best I can.

Like everyone else, my windows weren't working. Replaced the switch, nothing happened. After troubleshooting, found a bunch of broken wires. I cut them out, crimped in new wires, heat shrunk tubed it, etc. Now everything worked fine except the DS front window. The motor works fine when I put power to it, and the switch was known to work fine. So, at this point in time, everything works (windows/locks/stereo) except the front, ds window.

Moving on, I had some poor previous wiring from the previous owner connected to the cig lighter and removed that. For a second, they touched, and sparked but no fuse was ever blown. It still worked and works fine. I did replace the fuse just in case, but it was not blown.

Now the pink, constant 12v for the stereo is dead, as is the power locks. The orange switched 12v still works fine however.

I've checked every fuse in the car including under hood and cannot figure this out for the life of me.

Help!
