electrical or charging problems
Ive gone thru 2 batteries on a 1985 cherokee V6, the 2.8. replaced the battery cables and terminals and alternator. It still acts like the battery is dead after a week of a new battery. Im really confused on where to start or what it could be. any help appreicated thx.
You need a digital volt/ohm/amp meter.
Disconnect the negative cable and connect an amp-meter between the cable and the post. Anything over about 50 milliamps is bad... report your findings and we will proceed.

the multimeter said the milli was 13.8. But now its acting like theres a pull on the jeep constantly. It was fixed last night after i took the alt. out and took it to the auto parts store, when i put it back in I jumped it and let it run. Then I killed it and cranked it back up, and it worked. But when I went out this morning to go to work, it wouldnt start. I just hate needing to jump it every time i get in the damn thing.

Bamsash, Solderjunkie was telling you to read AMPs as in (50 milliamps). That is (current) or power on your multi-meter. The 13.8 that you are reading at the battery is 13.8 volts. Which actually is a good reading for a good battery. You definitely have got a short or (constant) power draw in your Jeep. The bad news is that it could be anywhere. When dealing with or troubleshooting electronics, you have E=voltage, I=current and R=resistence to deal with.
