Radiatot fan
So I brought my 95 up to temp - no aux fan.
I put the heat on (Vent setting with temp lever on full hot) - no aux fan.
I switched it to defrost - aux fan kicked on.
So since my temp never exceeded 205-ish, the only time the aux fan came on was when the defrost (assuming it's using A/C when defrost is on) was on.
Ozalid - I would check your Coolant Temp Sensor since it's easily accessible and there are good test write-ups available. If it's not sending an accurate reading to the computer it can screw with your engine function, so you want to be sure it's working.

Pulido - You should start a new thread. You also might want to post in the Grand Cherokee forum.
don't know how common the Full time transfer cases are on the XJ's, but it's definitely less common than on the Grand Cherokees.

There's a "new thread" button at the top left of the main screen.
On my phone I sometimes have to "Go to full site" (button) at the bottom of the page if it goes into the mobile format.
The Grand Cherokee forum is at:
www.cherokeeforum.com/f5/

First off , thanks for the feedback everyone....It sure is great to get all these opinions from other Jeep owners ...
I came home from work opened the hood, and unplugged the electric fan up front. Ran her for about 20 minutes and never got above 205 degrees.....Connection is just below the radiator cap on my 95'
I taped up the connector ends for future use...In just over 3 weeks I'm taking her to Baja where she will live for at least the next year.....
I may want to plug it back in once I cross the border ....Ill keep you guys updated if you are interested ...
Thanks again

In a 97+ model, the two things that trigger the fan are 223 degree coolant temperature, or the A/C system reaches pressures of 300 psi high side, 20 psi low side. In those cases, the fan will run until coolant temp. lowers to 217 degrees, and/or A/C system pressure lowers to 235 psi. If the A/C system isn't charged, only coolant temperature will trigger the aux fan because A/C pressures will never be reached.

Electric Radiator fan...
More of an experiment than anything else.. I wanted to see if the temp would increase with the fan unplugged...My temperature is constant at about 205 after warm up..
I am going to check the thermostat sensor...
Thanks

A bad pressure switch in the AC system could cause that. Better off unplugging the AC not the fan. Actually have you noticed if the compressor is kicking on as well or is it just the fan?
