Yes you can convert from power windows to crank windows.
It really easy, If you have a 4 door XJ you need all for window regulators from a 4 Door and if its a 2 door you need the 2 regulators from the 2 door.
You can reuse your stock doors and glass and install it on the manual crank regulators.

awesome, i want to go to tube doors but i have wires to my door locks and windows to deal with. one disconnect for speakers isnt too much to deal with. besides most of the windows only work when they feel like it.

So are you saying you just rip out all the old guts, and put in the guts from a manual door?

Yes sir exactley what i'm saying =)
The only difference in the doors is 1 has a power regulator ( the frame mechanism that the window sits on and goes up and down) and one has a crank mechanism.
It all comes out as 1 piece when you take the window off. you just need to remove the power regulator and install the manual regulator. The doors are stamped for either so everything lines up. you reuse your stock windows.
to do the swap you just need to go to the JY and get the manual regulators and bolts and the window cranks.
If you want it to llok proper you can get the manual door panels also or you can just cut the hole for the manual crank in your stock doorpanel.
Hope that helps you guys,
Matt

Thanx for this thread guys - all my windows failed a couple of weeks ago.. I spent a day up to my eyeballs in wires, and got them working.. 3 days later, they were screwed again..dont get me wrong, I dont blame the jeep, its great machine, but I spend a lot of time driving through water.. that wiring is soaked most days of the week. I was seriously considering a manual crank swap - now Im def going to do it!.
