Angry Electric lock stumper...

Hi fellow xj owners.
I have an issue that has me stumped. I've got a 98 2 door with electric locks and an aftermarket starter/lock fob system. Problem is the doors will unlock with all doors and fob but will not lock with any of them.
These are the things I've already done:
- Changed both driver and passenger door master switches
- Taken apart both door boots and repaired wires
- Changed out key cylinder
- Checked/ changed relays and fuses
And that's where I'm at. It has me totally stumped. I've read every forum I can find on the subject and I'm out of ideas.
If any one has any hail marry's let me know what you think.
Thanks!

I would check the installation manual from the system you have installed. Sounds like the lock output is not wired correctly and the factory circuit was left open. Likely when it was installed.

It didn't lock before they installed the system. I was hopeful that installing the fob system might fix it but no luck.

I dont have a wiring diagram handy, but did you check the wiring after the repairs were done, to see if you missed anything? Sometimes the strands under the insulation break, but the insulation itself remains intact. Look for any discolorations in the insulation for signs of stress. Its not always obvious. What about the connectors? Have they been checked? Not just the one at the switches, but the ones in the kick panel. Could be something wrong with the receiver, too. For my 97, there is an RKE module on the headliner (no console). Those can go bad, too. And is the battery in the fob new? Ive known others to have issues with the locks when they run low.
