I was on a mopar parts site browsing and stumbled upon (what they describe) "electric folding" mirrors. Does anyone have these on their XJ? The particular year I looked up was a 2001.

I believe it means electric/folding mirrors. Like, the glass is electric controlled and they also fold in.

Yeah it means mirrors that can fold in that have power adjustable glass in them. The newer stuff some have power folding mirrors that will fold in with a switch.Maybe that is the kind you thought it ment?

1996 and earlier use the spring loaded mirrors that pivot out of the way (or break off) when impacted. Spring returns them to position.
1997+ mirrors have a larger field of view, and will fold inwards by hand, keeping them out of harms way.
Direct bolt-on.
