Pull this fuse to temporarily disable the circuit.
(You will also lose your dome light and radio while this fuse is unplugged.)

It could be a bad switch, or a short in the driver side door wiring harness, especially where it bends at the hinge.

anyone figure out how do fix this with out disabling the power windows? Have a 98 XJ I'm trying to sell and this problem kills the battery. Just looking for an easy fix out side of rewiring, or taking off all the door panels and unplugging the electronic lock.

This kept happening with my 98 as well. I replaced the lock switches, that didn't fix it. I finally traced the wires from the door to underneath the steering column and found a place where the wire was exposed. I electrical taped it and the problem went away.

This is happening in my '00 also. Sometimes I can't lock or unlock from the drivers side and the passengers lose control of thier windows. Replaced drivers side door switch with a used one and still some issue but haven't have any phantom locking or unlocking....YET. I'll be tracing wires when I get a chance.
