Default Electric door locks keep sparatically going off

When i first noticed I thought i was just imagining it and pased it off as me being crazy. But now its just getting annoying, its happeningmore and more now to the extent that a the 5min drive to school always leaves me aggrivated fromt he noise every now and then, and sometimes it will go off like 5 times quickly in a row. I know the late model cherokee's are notorious for electrical problems and this probibally falls into that category.

Any suggestions how to fix it? I did take the doors apart a while ago to fix the window motors but everything was fine untill recently.

Thanks jordan

Do you have key less entry? Is it possible the lock/unlock button, on the key fob is sticking. If you do, try leaving the fob in the house. And go to school using just the door keys. JMO!

I have a similiar problem with mine. There were infrared remoted installed on mine before I had it. Well I don't have the remotes, and the locks do't work at all, neither does the radio.

Cool

Could be the door ajar switches messing with you. Removed the driver side door switch and go for a ride. If the problem is gone replace the switch, if the problem is still there put the driver door ajar switch back in and remove the passenger front door ajar switch....test drive and see if the problem went away. 90% of the time it is one of these two switches the other 10% is the keysless entry module has failed

Happened on my '98 4 door. Turned out to be a loose harness connection inside the passenger side door panel.
