Default ecu.....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

halftime last night, a friend of mine came over and had one of those hand held programmers. he TRIED to flash my ecu or whatever . now, my jeep wont start. is there ANY way to reset it, or am i just gonna have to buy another one?

id try to disconnect the battery for about 15mins and see what happens.

Why did you try to reflash? Best to leave sleeping dog lies unless you are sure of what the result will be.

If you get stuck, you may have to have the dealer reflash it. This code is pretty important.

well, for the hp gain. my buddy did the right thing and went by the junkyard a picked me up one. so, its fixed!!!

BTW you post caused me to go by the JY and pick up two spares - one for my 95 and my 96.
