Default Easiest way to pull rusted old hitch

I have a hitch on my parts car. It's all rusted up, and I'm wondering the easiest way to remove it for storage... The hitch is bolted directly to the frame rails and not the bumper, right? Any advice is appreciated.

Well matters what tools you have? My dads a welder so He can just cut it off with the torch. A cutoff whell at the bolts should do it and if they mounted it right it should be to the frame.

Correct.
easiest way is to take a can of PB blaster and spray all the bolts and let it set for a day or two. TRUST me, it will make your life alot easier. Then you just take the bolts out. there are either metal plates that hold the carrige bolts in or one solid plate that holds them all. Make sure you get all those plates as you will either have to make them or buy them from the dealer if you loose one.

do it the the PO did on my trail rig.....start by backing a large boat/trailer up a hill.....then jack-knife it due to the lack of mirrors.....when the receiver is firmly wedged between the boat/trailer and the steep concrete driveway hit the skinny pedal hard in reverse.....the hitch will catch the ground and rip the bolts right through the frame rails lol
