I have an intermittent P0463 "Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High Input ". My gauge sometimes goes to empty when there is fuel in the tank. If I do a fault scan when the gauge is reading empty I get code P0463. If I do a fault scan when the gauge is reading normally I get no codes.
Has anybody solved this issue?

I posted this in the other forum.
So the FSM says:
"For fuel gauge operation: As fuel level increases, the float and arm move up. This decreases the sending unit resistance, causing the fuel gauge to read full. As fuel level decreases, the float and arm move down. This increases the sending unit resistance causing the fuel gauge to read empty."
If the gauge drops to zero despite having fuel in the take, this would indicate a high resistance across the sending unit (like an open circuit).
I'd check for any breaks, corrosion, loose connections, especially around the fuel pump. Sadly, the only access is to drop the tank.

Thanks for all the replies. I have isolated the problem to the fuel level variable resistor in the Fuel Pump Module. I disconnected the connector to the fuel tank and measured the resistance of the variable resistor.
It was ≈52Ω. I then shook the Jeep. The ohms reading then became very erratic sometimes going to an open circuit. I am 99.0% positive the variable resistor in the Fuel Pump Module is the problem. I put some Sea Foam in the tank. Maybe it will clean the resistor contact? If not, changing a fuel pump is in my future.
I will post the results of the Sea Foam.

Spoiler
I now have 55 PSI fuel pressure. I'm trying to decide if that is OK!?
Thanks to all for the responses.
PS: What the heck is a Spoiler?
