Default Driving without front DS

I am doing a little troubleshooting and I'm finding posts that say it is ok to drive without the front drive shaft installed. If I remove it, will anything leak that I need to cover up?

Nothing will leak, you're fine to drive without it

You should have no problem. I ran without the front twice, for a several weeks each time. Neither the transfercase or axle require the drive shaft to keep fluid in. That is for the front axle. The back depends on year.
