Anybody know the difference between these? I have a pair of 500FF's on my 2000 XJ. I'd like to add a third one, and have one as a spare. I see a good deal on a pair of 500's. I know the cover design is different, but how about size? brightness? I haven't actually seen a pair of the 500's except online, and it's hard to tell. I looked on Hella's website, and the dimensions are the same. Not sure what the difference is.

 

i think the difference is in the lens, and/or the reflector between the 500 and the 500FF. I'm not 100% positive on this one though, maybe someone with frther knowledge will chime in...

 

Hella 500's for cheaper then anywhere else..


These are what I am going to get to replace the factory fog lights that are broke and rusted..

 

Actually Claygrassman found them even 6 bucks cheaper on ebay! look at the amazon ad, it says deal monger is the seller. Look up deal monger on ebay- same kit/ same seller is 40 dollars and free shipping.

Every buck counts these days.

i have a set of hella 500s on my bumper and they are great...i woulda got more for my homebrew (kinda) roof lightbar but i found a great deal on some harbour freight brand 55 watt fog lamps...one set for $10 so i bought 5 sets lol...i still havent wired them up yet so i dont kno if they are brighter than my hellas but for 10 bucks i thought i would give em a try
