get fog lights if you want to see better in inclement weather, driving lights to see further on a clear night. if you are going to wally world, i'd get the Hella 500FF lights. i've had the baja lights and wasn't impressed with them. they look cheap and the light pattern sucks compared to the hellas. i wouldn't let the fact that you "might" get into an accident determine what lights you put on the bumper, kind of silly IMHO.

My hella 500's Light up 2x as much as my moms high beams on her 08 malibu.. there freakin bright. I could have them aimed straight to the ground and people still flash there beams at me. In snow/rain, they work amazing, almost too good..You can see everything.

Keep in mind anything rated over 55w is going to be technically illegal if on and a cop catches ya.

dude is spot on with his post, for rain etc fogs are gonna serve you much better than a driving light. His recommendation on the ff50's is good as well, i'v been wanting to pick up a set of those. Small compact light with the Hella quality. There aslo cheap comparatively.

The Hella 500's are available as a fog and a driving. The driving is more of a pencil beam and better used off road where blinding other drivers shouldnt be an issue.

with all due respect Hella is waay better than KC. The 500s are cheap lights that perform great, if you want to get something better Hella makes it, in germany.

Ok. I have the Hella 500FF lights, I see that Jeep is pre-wired for fog lights although it did not come from the factory with them.
Where are the connectors for the fog lamps at?

I have what appears to be a harness for a halogen light bulb hanging out in front of my air filter box behind the grille and header panel on my 1990, thinking there is probably another tucked away on the battery side as well.

i would never buy anything less than a hella 500, anything else has a crappy and useless beam pattern. although rckrdyxj has a good point, ive thwacked my hella 550s on my roof countless times. i leave them just tight enough to not bounce around, but loose enough so when a encounter some low branches, they tilt back in the mounts.

ive never been a KC fan really, nothing impressed me about them. IPF 968/868 lights are AMAZING for the price

ok this sounds crazy, but walmart has a nice pair, i put em on my xj, they were 20 bucks, comes with wiring, fuse, switch, bolts, and instructions are actually easy... i ran all of it myself, and they kick my headlights in the *****... lol they really do rock. SOOOOO MUCH brighter than my headlight, and if you dont like em, take em back.. just thought id throw in my $.02

i bought the Walmart fog light kit, i think it was blazer brand. be careful if you go to mount them! the housing is all plastic and the bolt stripped out the housing so it would not tighten down. they are still sitting in the package. and i am sitting with two holes drilled into my bumper...

Just a note. Most of the time the more you pay for lights the better made they are and the better light your going to get out of them. I have a nice set of KC's with the clear and amber fog lenses as well as driving lenses. I love them to death, but they cost about 120 bucks. The best lights I have on a rig right now is on my little Datsun. They are aircraft landing lights...wow are those things bright, and cheap but you need a round housing for them.
