Default Drivers seats, what have you done ?

Hi, i have a 93 4.0 with 126thou miles, due to the height of these cars the drivers lower/base side bolster has collapsed. this is very uncomfy as it makes me sit twisted. i was considering getting a passenger seat from another car and putting it on my drivers side ? will this fit ? i think it would solve the problem and finding a good drivers will be tough. what other options or good seats are out there ? many aftermarket seats youve found work nice ?
thanks for any info

There is a great writeup on here to fix the 84 to 94 drivers seat.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/84...acement-23010/

it didn't come up very easy in a search, but try using an advanced search, with titles only. You will get a very refined search. It took my less than a minute to find with keywords "drivers seat"

not wanting to sound like a dick, it just took me a while to realize how to do the advanced search, and it helps alot.

Other than that, i replaced mine from a junk yard

I went to Wal-Mart and bought $5 worth of fiber fill and stuffed it under the leaning side of the seat, took about 10 minutes.

But my 95 seat upholstery was much easier to undo than the upholstery illustrated in that write up above.

This is what I got. The bottom of the stock driver side seat collasped and made it very hard on my back, so I got on JC Whitney and found these. I like them so far.

BigRed,
Are these seats specific for an XJ?
Many online stores list seats for the CJ's, can these be mounted in an XJ?
Thanks!

the rails on my 99 snapped while i was driving down the highway and it was pretty damn scary. I had to go with a quick fix so what i did was get drop out spacers from a bicycle and put it in where the holes broke. its good for now until i get enough cash to get some new seats

replace the drivers side bottom with a good bottom and have some 1" pipe bent to loop and angle under the side that breaks and weld it to the frame.

JC whitney said these were for a cherokee but I had to find out the hard way to read the fine print. The seats needs a certain high rise bracket to connect to, the stock one will not work. So I had to have the seats fabricated to fit. It was more than I wanted to spend but I really like the seats.

I just swapped my pass seat with my drivers seat. But mine has no power anything and does not tilt forward or back, Not sure how yours are set up.

nevermind, I see yours are electric. I missed the post right above mine where you said it lol.
