Also another question for all you jeep people. Is it normal when I put my jeep into drive it makes a light clunk noise. It's not really bad however I am assuming that's the transmission?

youve got alot to learn in the ways of scary noises and sounds that jeeps make from the factory haha. but other than the door pin which you fixed you sound fine. dont worry and get used to the noises you will soon come to love haha.

Do I have to use special grease or will any grease do the job? Thanks for all the help!
I'll take some pictures of mine and show you later today if I remember

No!! That door needs to be fixed it sounds horrible. It needs a whole new door check assembly and I priced them on www.jeep4x4center.com $133 bucks! I tried the new pin and that didn't fix my problem so something is actually messed up inside the door itself.

Onto a new subject here how hard is it to put on a new serpintean belt? I can't spell I know lol

Are we talking about this?

I got 2 from the JY for $10.
I'm certain any cherokee or grand cherokee would work.

Oh, get those from the passenger's side....they should be good condition.

UPDATE: I found a guy today on CL who was parting out his jeep and I got there tested out his junk jeep door and it didn't squeak or pop at all and I took it off his jeep myself and installed it on my jeep in less than 20 minutes and now my drivers side door is finally fixed.

Now some off topic questions I really don't see the need to start another thread for some simple questions. I need my oil changed and I do not know what the previous owner used and I have heard jeep people say that jeeps run well with full synthetic? I was told to stay away from fram oil filters? And use 1 quart of lucas's oil mixture helps too. I need to know if I convert to my jeep to full synthetic will it hurt my jeeps health? I am trying to make my engine run cool and idle smooth as this is my daily driver and I want to take care of her the best I can and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

As far as oil changes, pick what you like. Full syn oil is great stuff, but if its running well on conventional stick with it. Full syn leaked like a sieve out of mine for some reason (185 grand on motor). I use Rotella 10w-30 bought at Oreilly's with a Wix filter. Runs great, has a little zinc still in the Rotella brand, and seems to be doing its job fine.

Yeah it probably leaked because of a bad seal.

ok, hopefully i don't get tossed for this reply since this is my 2nd post I think LOL The whole syn and dino oil thing....... dino oil has lots of parafin wax, over time this builds up on your seals, then the seal dries out behind the wax. Syn is highly detergent so it cleans out that parafin and you get leaks if your seals are dried out. Not all seals dry out so on high mileage vehicles ya might get lucky when ya switch to syn and it wont leak.

Me ? on the 95 i just bought has 160k and the drive thru oil sticker on the windshield say's conventional so i will stay with conventional oil and oil/filter every 3k.
