I was just curious. I have an 89 cherokee and I have had a 4.5inch lift on it for a while. Recently I broke both center bolts for my leaf springs so I replaced them. After doing so I noticed that the axle pinion was pointed too far up and it was vibrating. I changed the degree shims to make it straight again and now I'm still getting the vibration around 35 - 40 mph. Am I wrong here?
It is possible that from having the pinion angle wrong, you might have eaten a ujoint. On these trucks, it's not like a full size where you have all kinds of room. You may want to look at the CV joint also and consider a SYE kit. Worst case is you put too much pressure on the rear and may have eaten a pinion bearing.

I see what u mean. I did replace my u joints and my pinion bearing is new. Isn't there sposed to be a balance weight on the driveshaft? I've been lookin at the rubicon express hack n tap, is it really safe or even strong for that matter?
