Default Dressing up Stock Steelies

Are there beauty rings that will work with a set of 1997 oem steel wheels ?

My kid broke his leg playing football last week, so I wanted to do something cool for him. Decided to mess around with the wheels on his jeep.

Started out with this:

And ended up with this:

I'd like to set them off with a set of chrome beauty rings. Are there beauty rings that will work with a set of 1997 oem steel wheels ? TIA

PS- Here's a few more shots just for the fun of it...

I don't see any pictures?

But still, a cool thing to do for your kid while he is down and out.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Does anyone know if there are beauty rings that will fit these wheels?

Looks GREAT!!
My dad just did the same thing to my '97 Sport. It was a Great present. Seems as though its the new thing to do for the kids. Lol

I say add a small lift and get him some BF Goodrich All-Terrain TA/Ko's and that would be a nice present to get him while he is "down". Do that and it would appear as though we have the exact same Jeep.

There are silver rings that go around the outside, my brother in law has them on his 89.
Wheels look just like yours only with silver rings around the outside.

Did you strip the paint off and prime the steelies before you painted them?

Nah. Scuffed things up a bit with 2000 grit and rattled canned some flat black.

I did the same with some mid-90s Chevy steelies and it looked great for a couple of years up till the day I sold it.

I'm not sure a set of rings from a late-80s thru mid-90s jeep will fit. I think the rims get deeper from the rim edge to the wheel center much more quickly than my wheels.

My 97 jeep steelie wheels

What do you guys think? Will the old rings work, or not?

You could always tape off the top section and hit it with a silver. If you tape it nicely, should turn out pretty good.
