Doug makes awesome long tube headers. My suggestion.. for the money, Find a good local exhaust shop and have them make you a custom exhaust. You pick what you want and how you want it.

I was just looking at this system...
I've had great luck with other Thorley/Jardine products (including a great set of ceramic Tri-Y's on my Chevy 5.3), but one thing that kind of has me hesitating a bit is the fact that this cat-back system for the XJ is not stainless... I drive my XJ all year around in Michigan and winters can get salty, and I live on a series of dirt roads that sometimes get sprayed with chloride in the summer to keep dust down.
Wondering if this thing will develop rust as quickly as a cheap muffler man shop piece together system?
Is this what explains the price being half that of a Magnaflow cat-back for the XJ?
I found the Thorley set-up for $255 shipped from Moes performance, which seems like a great price, but I'm not wondering if I could just get a nice stainless 18 or 20" round Magnaflow, then have it welded in after the cat and just dumped before the axle, and be out for about $175 or so...
What do you guys think?
appreciate any tips.
