door wont latch

door wont latch
My 96 cherokee 2 dr. 2wd. divers door wont close completely. I don't know the name of the part that latches the door, and I can't find it on the web in any diagrams. It's the drivers door. Anybody have an idea of what I should be looking for?

Engine: 4.0 with all of the noise and clatter
Check and see if the latch is closed, if it is use a screw driver to pry it open while pushing the button on the handle.
