Hey guys. I read somewhere on the insanenet that you can swap newer style (90's+) doors to the older XJ's, but I can't seem to find it. I have an '89 2 door Limited that is starting to rust along the bottom of the doors so it will need replacing soon. I like the idea of the solid windows (no vent windows) and larger mirrors so I can get a two for one by doing the swap. Do the Comanche have a solid window and will the doors fit. Thanks

JP did a swap from a 92MJ to a 97 XJ, I'm not sure if the doors changed from 89-92.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately they don't mention anything about pre 90 XJ's or show a pic if the XJ they did the swap on is a 2 or 4 door. Anyone else know anything about this? Are the Comanche doors are the same size as a 2 door XJ?

The doors should fit from an '97+ onto an older model. I believe there is something about the locks that is different, but that shouldn't be too difficult to fix. The hinges may also be different, so you may need to weld on new hinges.
