Ok so my sister used my jeep a while back and messed up the door latch. The latch was in the close position and she tired to close the door with she hawk force. As you can see in the picture she tore the steel up. I tried to weld it back but it started melting the sheet metal. Is there a way to maybe make a new piece or do I have to buy a new door? I can still shut the door but some times I have to pry the latch back to where it's suppose to be. Has anyone ever had this issue and had a easy fix?

 

get a new door dude. hit up the local junk yards.

 

Yea I figured I will have too. It's just a pain to try to find the same paint color.

 

Go and buy a new door. If you use that door in your jeep who knows what can happen. It might just open in the middle of the highway or a thief can easily break in and steal your Jeep. If you find a door go ahead and try Maaco if you want to paint the car. Good luck
