Door panel clips mayhem
Hi!
1990 XJ
Anyone got a got fix for when the old cardboard type material in the door panels just breaks and there’s 1 clip left attaching the panel to the door?
I got new clips, but the holes are not that functional anymore to put clips in.
maybe put put some new material on top to make holes in?

Epoxy and fiberglass?
I had a few busted on the liftgate panel and reanchored them that way.

Another couple options to consider...if water resistance isn't a big concern, go to the local hobby shop and go to the picture framing area and look at matboard. If more water resistance is needed see if they have "Gator Board". It's a high density foam board that would be almost as hard as Masonite but lighter.
