So just to make sure. The passenger side door lock panel is the master control panel correct? Im having issues with my door locks and as of right now the locks do not work at all. the passenger panel button makes a click but nothing. Also before if i opened the passenger door or made sudden turns the doors would randomly spaz out and lock/unlock themselves. Its a 99 and this has been an ongoing issue as of recently but i now kinda need the doors to lock lol. Issue is i can lock all 4 doors manually but the hatch i physically cannot lock or unlock at all due to someone trying to break in before and damaged the lock mechanism so that one only worked with the remote locks.

It is? Some people replace the passenger door switch panel and they all work again. I gotta look around and see if my old door panel is hanging around cause im sure that has a switch in it still.
My understanding is that the passenger side controls the locks.
In my '00 from day one my locks would work 99% of the time.
When they would not work they would start working again quick.
Like I could stop at the store to run an errand, locks would not work, come out 15 minutes later, and they would.
One time though they did not work for about 3 days.
I would always hear a click coming from the passenger side when they did not work.
Threw in a used passenger side switch and went about a month without a problem.
Threw in another used switch and it has been almost a year without a problem.
Question is though was the second used switch good and fixed the problem?
Or is it just that 1% of the time they don't work has not reared its ugly head yet?
Now your locks spazzing out sound like more of a wiring issue to me.

IIRC the passenger side is the control module for the locks.
I spent 2 full days diagnosing my power locks last year. Combing through the FSM and tracing wires all over. Did you know you cannot lock the doors from the driver's side switch if the door is open and the keys are in the ignition?
I ended up finding a corroded connector for the driver's door ajar switch by the kick panel that had intermittent continuity. Fixed that issue and the locks worked for a few days but then quit again. The thing that ended up fixing my locks for good (so far) was reflowing the solder on the circuit boards in both the passenger and driver side doors. Apparently over time the solder gets brittle and can crack, causing poor connections. There is a good amount of discussion about doing this and some youtube videos if you search for it.

I have a 1995 ZJ Cherokee. The doors have electric locks. The unlock works but the lock does not. The unlock has 12 volts but the lock has 6 volts to the switch. Is this how it is supposed to be?
Thank you for any information.
