Default Door lock install tip

Maybe I was being dense when I installed my door lock mechanism in my left rear door, but here is the story.

When I got it back together, everything worked except opening the door from the outside. It took my a few minutes to figure out what I was doing wrong. There is a very subtle adjustment on the lever arm that came loose from the factory. It is a black allen setscrew. Once I got this tightened up, all was good.

The rest of the install was not difficult, just kind of fussy messing with the linkages.

Adding the YEAR, Make and MODEL of Jeep you are referring to would help greatly!

Thanks!

Isn't 1998 Jeep Cherokee enough? It is in my signature. Am I missing something here?

Signatures show up at the bottom of your post. I dont see a signature, but the basics are listed under your avatar, and thats good enough to get the ball rolling most of the time. I prefer signatures myself as you can include a lot more info which comes in handy should you start modifying your rig. If you did create a signature, it isnt showing up. After creating a signature, click 'save signature' at the bottom. Then, go to 'Edit Options' and scroll down to 'Thread Display Options'. Check the box to show your signatur and you should be set.

I use mobile and signatures aren't shown. Others that can help may use mobile as well.
