Door Lock
Hi. 2001 Cherokee Sport. So I took the passenger front door panel off today to replace the speaker. Thought I put everything back right but the lock button is stuck in the Lock position. The door isn't actually locked but the button won't move. If I take the door off again but leave the Lock and Handle Bars attached, it goes back to normal. Any ideas? Thanks

It's a little hard, from your description, to figure out what's going on but assuming you connected the rods to the correct controls you probably bent the lock rod so it's length has changed .
If things work when the internal panel isn't clipped into the door you should be able to determine if the rod needs to be longer or shorter..
Stuff isn't easy to bend.

Every time I take off a door panel panel I have to get the rods and button for the interior lock in just so a position when I put the door panel back on
for them to work and the interior lock button to be in the right position.
Problem is I don't know what that is and I just play with it for a bit till I get lucky.
Like exasemech said little tough from your description of figure it out but wonder if it is just this.
