Does anybody know where to get new replacment door check straps for my front doors on my '01 cherokee? The guys at Napa/autozone cant seem to find it in their computers (suprise suprise)...but I assume these are available aftermarket. First welcome to CF from NJ, you can either go to a J/Yard or from the dealer for that part afaik...Tj

 

The "door holder" unit is not something you will find readily available at many parts stores

Stealership...maybe. All depends if you are currently fond of that arm and that leg.

Morris 4x4 has them but it does not state if its ONE or PAIR

I will probably just try the yard. They are available for $52 a set from the dealership. After years of dirt roads and no inner fenders, mine finally gave up (pins broke, strap is barely working with new pin). Thanks!

I hear ya on the partner. I bought a door from a yard one time and the guy serioiusly stood there and watched me take it off by myself. I think I was his entertainment for the day...

 

My driver side dont have one, so annoying. carfax said it was in a minor accident (driverside door). Someone botched or cheaped that repair. Anyway I got mine from a junkyard, just need to put it in.
