Replacing the door checks on the driver and passenger doors of my 97 XJ. I can't get the check out because the window track is blocking it, and I don't see any way to move that part of the window track.... no bolts to loosen or anything.

Fixed!

The door check arm has sheared from the spring portion of the mechanism. Because of this, the arm couldn't reach the correct angle to fall. I had to knock the threaded ends of the spring mechanism into the door- which let both pieces fall.
