I believe I need a door check for my 1998 XJ, but the past owners seem to have done a little ghetto fix so I was wondering if anyone could help me out with picking the right door check, this is for my driver's door. Also, there's some damage on that little piece right above the license plate, it's cosmetic but my lady wants mostly everything fixed on it. Any advice?

Those door checks are the same through a lot of years. I got one from part outs here.

 

door check for the front is different than the door check for a rear door. About $50.00 for a new one so check the JY first. Pics on the license plate area?
