This is RE 4.5" lift. It seems to have excessive spring noise when flexing, and 90% of the time i am flexing it. it doesnt seem to hurt ne thing but passengers feel i should look into it. The retainers are still on the bottom. The driver's side is almost touching the frame at normal ride height. The first and second pic is passenger side, the other rub marks on spring are from sway bar. Third pic is driver side and its hard to see but the spring is really close to the frame. it doesnt go down the road very well even with the sway bar on. im going to align it but i just wanna make sure its nothing major.

Might want to check to see if the axle is centered, track bar may be off a bit. When I ran a 4.5" RE kit my springs would rub on the bumpstop tube. With the arch in those springs it looks like the lower control arms are too short or uppers are too long. Be willing to be the caster is off a bit as well.

Yes, definitely check your control arms. Springs should not be bowed like that.

I don't know much about lifts, but it looks as if the front axle needs to go forward about an inch or better.

Look at the picture showing front end and tires and your foot ,now look at your tires I dont think its an illusion at all. No wonder it doesn't go down the road very good.

I looked at the RE site. Their 4.5" kits don't come with adjustable arms so assuming that the geometry is correct by design, something else is whacked out.

The spring on the driver's side looks correct where it sits on the axle. The passenger side looks FUBAR. What is the difference?

Seems to me as if the axle should go forward a bit, try to register the brackets of the LCA on the frame.

looks like your axle shifted a bit front/back, and or side/side. did you get an alignment after the new tracbar?

how old is the lift? have the springs always looked like that?

you need to legnthen the lower control arms and your pinion angle is way to high making the spring perches tilt forward bowing your spring. I had my uppers to long and it caused the sam issue. But where the axle is sittign in your wheel well its your lowers that are to short. After you fix that see where the springs sit. if they are still to close to the frame then there is another issue ontop of the control arm issue.

Also if those coils are off another vehicle like the f150 coils or whatnot then they are wider in diameter and that is the after effect.

But fix your control arm length first.

bottoms should be 16.5"
tops should be 15"

i would actually recommend going 17" lowers and 15.5" uppers

Thanks for the advice!! Yes i know the tires are not the same i just crawl with those. i have 31s also that are all the same and balanced. I just got the jeep about a month ago and it had all this stuff on it. i am just correcting everything the previous owner did. i just wish the arms were adjustable. now if i adjust the trac bar can i move the axle from the right to the left. cuz now after looking at it the drivers side spring is touching but the other side has quite a gap. the only adjustment that the control arms have is the factory. this is a good adjustment page i found on this site

I mean, since i have seen that your LCAs are not adjustable, i said: adjust the brackets...

well i have done some measuring and quite a bit of research. I recently installed the rough country control arm drop kit (not shown). Then i took it to a 4x4 alignment shop and had it aligned. I can't get positive caster with those control arms. the bottoms are adjusted to the max and sit at -.7 degrees. and for some reason the lowere control arms are stock lenghth (this has complete 4.5" lift from RE, no mixed arms)... which the directions said should work with 4.5" lift. The upper control arms are 1/2 in longer... so i dont know wat to do. I don't think i will ever buy from Rubicon Express again
