Hello All,

I am still experiencing popping and flat acceleration, rough idle etc on my 1997 Petrol 2.5 ltr 4 cylinder Jeep Cherokee Sport. Reading the possible causes it sounds like an EGR valve issue but I cannot see this in the engine bay -can anyone confirm if this model and year has an EGR system? If not what can be the possible cause?

There are some with and some without. There is a flange with a pipe from the exhaust manifold to the intake, or a plate (with two screws) instead if it is without EGR.
Look on the ehaust pipe of cilinder one, the first from the front.
