Do your doors creak and pop when opening? If so, this might be your issue:

This is the hinge and pin that attach to the door closer lever (I'm sure there's a more technical name, but I don't know what it is lol). As you can see the pin was worn down and the hole in the hinge had been elongated. It was obviously worse on the driver's side, but it was starting to happen on the passenger side as well, so I replaced both. The doors now open quietly! It's the small things that sometimes make the most difference.

Yep. Nice.
Fancy Bear nice.
Did this on mine a few weeks ago too. Got some stainless pins from Lowes. Definitely makes you feel good about opening those doors now.

Where'd you order them from? And how much were they?
I had looked on quadratec before but only found the door check assembly as a whole and it was pricey.

Quadratec has them: http://www.quadratec.com/products/55014_8202.htm
As well as Morris 4x4: http://www.jeep4x4center.com/bracket...-55002361.html
You can pick them up on ebay for slightly less: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-1991-JEEP-CHEROKEE-DOOR-CHECK-BRACKET-/161035650658?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item257e790662&vxp=mtr

I ordered them from here (http://www.partswebsite.com/rtpartsco/) along with a new PDM. The bracket (Part#: 55002361) was $6.44 and the pin (Part#: 55012900AB) was $4.08, not including S&H.Originally Posted by DieselD

I replaced my pin with a nut and bolt. Sandwiched 3 or 4 washers in the gap and tightened it all up just enough to make it quiet. Did the job and cost nothing.

just FYI, you can grab a 4-pack of the pins from Amazon for $4.97

I thought about that, but prefer to keep things factory looking if I can. However, my pockets are lighter for doing so.Originally Posted by DaFox
